(meteorobs) Observations Tau, Ori and Pup/Vel 26th & 29/30 Oct
Just some observations to report on various streams. One hour was completed on the 26th Oct before being
clouded out, and two and a half hours were completed on 29/30th Oct. One thing to note is the nomber of S Taurid
meteors seen this early before maximum. Quite alot of stream meteors on that night from a number of streams.
Around 35% of the meteors on that night were stream members adding nicely to the total for the evening.
This weekend our section is holding a workshop for a nearby astro soc meteor section. We should have about a
dozen people there ranging in experence from advanced to novice. Should be a great night. I will have a report
from that after the event.
Streams monitored on the two observing nights to report were:
Orionids (ORI)
Rho Cetids (RCE)
Taurids N + S (NTA) & (STA)
Puppid/Velids (PVE) - i don't know if all the codes are correct, but I've used them for your
reference.

Does anyone have any information on the Rho Cetids, it is only a minor stream I know but provided some activity as
you saw on my last report. I need Ave Mag, Geo Vel, Drifts, etc.
