(meteorobs) Leonid Observing Weather Prospects

Well... I've been following the weather forecast for my area quite closely
these last few days....and it ain't a pretty picture for my Leonid Observing
Prospects. It appears that all of the western U.S. might be having some bad
weather when the Leonids Peak. At this moment, I'm hoping that the weathermen
are all screwed up...in my favor. But my gut tells me that they might have
this forecast accurate. Anyhow, my plan "B" at this moment is to hook up the
chart recorder to my radio and record forward scatter if the sky is
cloudy...or rainy. I've done enough simultaneous visual observing and radio
monitoring in the past to have an idea as to what kind of meteor activity is
going on. Now if we are getting lightening...my plan "C" is to sleep it off
at home. I will definitely be peaking outside to see if there are any clear
patches of sky visible. It rained all day today. I had to visit my
father-in-law for something else on whose property my observatory is located.
I checked inside to see if it's dry after I did all that repair work to it in
September and October. I was pleased to see that it was dry as a bone.
Anyhow...I hope someone find good observing?
