(meteorobs) Fireball Alert

A fireball was reported over the NE US tonight about 8:50 EST Nov 17th (1:50
Nov 18th UTC).

I have 4 reports so far, somewhat contadictory as visual reports tend to be.

Reporter locations:

Milford, MA
Ashburham, MA
Brookline, NH
Fairfield, NJ

All report the object's brightness as greater than or equal to the full
moon. One reporter states:

"I initially had my back turned to the region of the sky where it had
entered. It was as bright as a welders arc light would be at night. It fully
illuminated the ground. When I did turn around it was still streaking
through the sky straight down. There was no sound. It was an intense white
light and burnt out fairly close to the ground. Truly an amazing sight!"

E-mail me for further information.
