Comet Hale-Bopp (1995 01) will not produce any meteor showers because the
orbit of Earth will not pass through the particles it left behind. But if
it did, I would guess the displays would be very nice!

BTW, I observed on December 1/2.  I saw the "maximum" of the Chi Orionids
(XOR).  The predicted maximum was 2 ZHR, and I saw exactly that.

0225-0255  LM:~+5.1   1 meteor   0 SPO   1   XOR
Mag +2  Speed 2  Color:  White  Train:  None
0430-0500  LM:~+4.2   0 meteors

Any other observations of the XOR maximum?

The sky was very nice with a high LM!
