Thanks for interesting historical posts, both George and Paul! I enjoyed
the vignette about Pharaohs' semen: reminded me of the Native American myth
(from Gary Kronk's Web-paper) that meteors were celestial droppings! Also
makes it a little clearer why the Ancients might have panicked during
meteor storms. ;>

By the way, Paul, just to fill in my knowledge of metallurgic history: I
always thought there was a "bronze age" in between copper and iron? I do
recall all the armor and weapons that constantly got smashed around in
Homer were bronze.
