Yesterday a flight recce over the area was negative. Clouds over the area
made i not possible to make any observations.

A Canadian radar satellite named, appropriately enough, RADARSAT, has 
just completed the first comprehensive survey of the ice cap of 
Antarctica.  Does anyone know if there are plans to use the same 
satellite to locate the position of the possible crater formed by the 
recent Greenland meteor?
