Re: (meteorobs) Flt 800

In a message dated 97-12-22 17:49:39 EST, you write:

He described a white smoke trail behind the "object". He then reported that
in
15-20 seconds the "object" disappears into a small flash of light, which he
described in a sketch as the aircraft's initial explosion.

He further reported, " The 'object' traveled a great distance and at great
speed to the area of Flt 800's demise"
  >>

15-20 seconds is a very slow object meteor wise and "at great speed" doesn't
describe a very slow meteor. These two descriptions are describing seemingly
two different objects...but he is obviously describing the same object. It
almost seems that this witness is trying to make his description describe what
he thinks a meteor should look like...not what he claimed to have seen.
