The 10-20 second duration was the "dark fall" time. 
It was not glowing at 13,000 feet. Also regarding witnesses remember it was
daylight. I believe you stated you never seen one in daylight. They certainly
are not as spectacular.

New Subject: Regarding your report of a "JR" seeing a meteor over Las Vegas.
On Dec 20th at 8:25 Pacific Time. There were reports of one over Boise, Idaho.
I am trying to get it verified.
