Greetings:

The Phillips Natural History Auction will take place at 12:30 p.m. on
Sunday, January 11th at Phillips Fine Arts & Auctioneers in New York City.
There will be a comprehensive posting concerning this sale on Tuesday,
December 30th.  For immediate info or to purchase a four-color catalog
please contact Phillips, toll free in the U.S (800) 825-2781, or outside the
U.S. (212) 570-4830. 

Of the nearly 300 lots offered, fifty are meteorites.  Many of the
meteorites --including Murchison, Ibitira, and Kesen--will be sold without
"reserves" (which is to say that all such lots will be sold regardless of
the modesty of the highest bid).

A limited number of free catalogs will be made available; check for the next
Phillips posting late Tuesday, December 30th for details.
