RE: (meteorobs) HELLO EVERYONE!
Hello Pierre, and welcome. Our Canadian spies have told us of your enthusiasm, and we're glad you finally joined us. I became a sky nut at young age myself, the year we moved to "the country". We moved during the winter of 60-61 which featured 3 snowstorms that exceeded 50 cm! So, our world was a featureless rolling field of white. And just outside our east facing back door, each night over this crystalline plain, the mighty Orion rose before my eyes. I imagined myself walking on the moon! These set into my mind a fascination with the weather and with the sky, and while over the years, as life intervened, the interest in each has waxed and wayned <g>, neither has left for long.
Meteors had always been an interest, but every lunacy needs a seed, and I found that while surfing the Web during comet Hyakutake. I stumbled across Gary Kronk's page, which has a meteor section, and since I've always had a love of them, I clicked there and began a journey to where things stand today...reaching out and joining NAMN that very moment. The rest is history.
I have the utmost of respect to someone from "The Great White North" who can log those kind of hours! I was whining last night at a mere -6 C!
So, welcome from us all!
