(meteorobs) ARCHIVE RESEND Re: Iridium flare

Hi, David, I had no trouble with the site: but I used the
"Select your location from the Database" option instead.
The site gives you the option of modifying your location
anyway, so this worked out to be a good starting point.

For example, I got the following results for Medford, MA
during the next 7 nights: (Table somewhat prettied up...)

Date: Tuesday, 10 February, 1998
Observer's Location: Medford ( 42.420N, 71.110W)
Local Time: Eastern Standard Time (GMT - 5:00)

Date Time Max Mag. Elev. Azimuth Mirror Satellite
11 Feb 05:56:03 2 26o 151o 3.6o Iridium 12
11 Feb 06:04:50 1 32o 159o 2.8o Iridium 13
11 Feb 18:33:35 0 51o 18o 3.8o Iridium 9
12 Feb 18:27:27 -0 52o 20o 2.6o Iridium 13
15 Feb 05:49:35 1 35o 169o 3.6o Iridium 16
16 Feb 18:02:59 -0 56o 27o 3.2o Iridium 14
17 Feb 05:37:29 -1 35o 167o 0.3o Iridium 9
17 Feb 06:25:23 3 16o 77o 3.0o Iridium 43

By the way, is the Globe planning an article on satellite and/or
meteor observing some time soon? Clear skies and many bylines,

Medford, MA
