(meteorobs) Additions to Fireball Reports

Just out of curiosity, is there any meteor observers here who don't list the
shower membership for a fireball...particularly of those belonging to major
showers? It's not called for on the IMO fireball report form, but I personally
think it should if that info is known. When looking at the fireball results,
it's hard to tell if they were all of Perseids(for example) if reported for
the mid month of August or Geminids if in December etc. I also think if a
fireball was sighted during a meteor observing period, that the beginning and
ending of the observation should be included. I think this could give some
insight into fireball rates? I also think this kind of information ought to be
added in FIDAC's publication of FIDAC News. There has been some occasions that
I was curious about fireball activity that included periods of major showers
and wanted to segregate these from the sporadics. I would refer to my back
copies of FIDAC news and there's no way to tell the sporadics from shower
members. Again, I try to get some idea about fireball rates based on how many
are seen by an observer during a certain period. There is no hint if an
observer saw their fireball during a casual moment or it was during a
dedicated observed period. I think this kind of info would help?
