Re: (meteorobs) Additions to Fireball Reports

Hello george and others,

I also noted the ommision of shower membership in FIDAC reports, and think
the same of it as George. Anyway, when I send around a fireball report I
always include a classification. Providing coordinates of start and end
also might aid in that (but I believe, those are indeed asked on the
FIDAC report forms).
Indeed, when you want to do statistics on fireball appearation rates, you
also need to have insight into the observational hours behind the data
sample per period. Otherwise, such an endeavour is of little use I guess...
Merely catalogueing fireballs without shower association and insight in
sample size (from the viewpoint of number of hours sampled) might be
questionable: what insight is to be gained from such data? What is the
benefit of knowing that a unclassified fireball appeared at date X in
year Y?
