RE: (meteorobs) Mosquitos

A "black light" (far UV) is used by entomologists to catch mosquitos, but
a moth screen must be used as well to stop the collecting disk being
filled with these. Bug zappers only work in a confined space where they
can kill a limited population. Placed outdoors, they can attract insects
from a huge area around and there is nothing worse than seeing a
preying mantis being fried for five minutes when it tries to catch the
bugs attracted to the zapper. If you see one outside a resturant,
smash it.
