(meteorobs) Meteor Observation March 18/19, 1998 ZAYGE

I was able to complete over 2 hours of meteor observing last night prior to
the moon rising (19:47 - 22:10 local) I would have had 3 hours, but the first
hour was thoroughly messed up with an extensive layer of fog slopping over.
After it moved I had a very clear 2 hour observing session with 6.0 skies at
my Descanso observatory. Activity seemed a little higher than I expected for
the early evening hours. Plotted 15. The very first meteor was the
brightest...a -2 something another. I haven't had a chance to look at the
plots yet and don't know about any shower association until I check for
radiant locations. I might have photographed that one...but not sure? For the
most part, the meteors seemed also brighter than earlier this month. I'm
guestimating that the overall Mean Magnitude will be near 2.3? I didn't sense
any unusual activity, but that judgement won't be made until after I look the
plots over and make my report.
