(meteorobs) March Geminids Possible?

While looking in some old Sky and Telescope magazines for unusual meteor
reports I found one on the March Geminids. It was in the March 1976 issue on
page 212. According to Janos Papp, then director of the Hungarian Meteor and
Fireball Observation Network, a brief but rather strong display of bright
meteors may occur between March 22nd and 24th, and the radiant is located at:
R.A. 6 hrs. 22 mins. DEC. +23 degrees. It goes on to say that "Avtivity from
this radiant was first detected in 1973, when zenithal hourly rates up to 40
occured. Clouds prevailed in 1974, but on the night of March 22-23, 1975,
another strong shower was seen by both the Hungarian amateurs and the Greater
Birmingham Meteor Group in England."

If anyone observes on these nights they should watch again for them, as
it may be a periodic shower that will occur again. As usual with any possible
new meteor shower, plotting is highly recommended. Please post any positive
observation here. Thanks.
