(meteorobs) Re: Vancouver Island FIREBALL



        A Fireball, as bright as the full moon or brighter was observed on
Vancouver Island and Northern Washington State on 18 March 1998 at 22:02 hrs
PST. We are collecting reports from anyone that observed this event.  The
information required is noted below:

        l: Observers name
        2: Address
        3. Phone Number
        4. E-mail address

        5. Provide coordinates from topographical map or GPS
                Longitude-----   Latitude------

        6dot beginning point of fireball
                elevation above horizon - measured with a clinometer
             and/or right ascension and declination

          Bearing - measured with a compass corrected to true reading
                    not magnetic north

        7. Ending point of fireball
                elevation above horizon - measured with a clinometer
              and/or right ascension and declination

           Bearing - measured with a compass corrected to true reading
                     not magnetic north

        8: Time of Observation (Time Zone)

        9: Duration of event, sound recorded if any, time delay

Provide any other information or description of the event and forward it to
