(meteorobs) Meteor Observations April 20/21 ZAYGE
Just got home after another clear and pleasant night plotting meteors. Sky LM
was near 6.0. Observed for 6 hours. Meteor activity has increased noticeably
compared to the previous night. I recorded 31 meteors last night which
included an orange -6 Lyrid fireball. It fragmented into three pieces. I feel
rather confident that I captured it with one of my guided cameras using a 28mm
wide angle lens. I won't know for sure until after tomorrow when I develop the
film. The weather looks good for tonights Lyrid peak. I plan on being out
there for another 6 hour run. Looking forward to it.
