(meteorobs) Observations May 1, 2 and 3. (Eta Aquarid run)



Here are the other 7 hours, 4 of which include the Eta Aquarids.
The first 4 hours were made from my home in Cranbourne Vic, 45 kms from Melbourne, the other 3 were made from our close by dark
sky location abour 70 kms from Melbourne.

Streams observed include the Eta Aquarids (ETA), the Virginids (VIR), the Sco/Sag complex (SSC) and a minor stream on our list the
Omega Capricornids (OCA)
When looking at the data please distinguish between (-) = not obseved in that particular hour and (0) none seen in that hour.

Over the last 2 nights our observing group also noticed some interesting activity from the Sco/Sag radaint confirmed by the 2
other observers I was with last night.  Has any one else noticed this ?? If so or not I would be interested to hear.

The rates for the Eta's picked up in the last hour with some brilliant meteors.  These are listed below.  The best for the night a
sensational -2 yellow eta.
