Here in Quebec city, Province of Quebec, Canada, (not far from Ottawa),  I
did observed Mir at 21:55 E.D.T.on 26 May and the maximum elevetion was 50
degrees SE at -0.5 max. mag.
Another pass of  Mir was at 23:31 E.D.T. and the maximum elevetion here was
40 degrees North at max. mag +0.8

There are a lot of sattellites visible in the sky especially near summer
solstice. I did have the URL of an excellent site about the satellites
visible in any location on earth. The adress is :

You can specify your location manually or select your location from the
database.
Also this site offer prediction of Iridium flares for the next 7 days, that
information
could be very interesting for the meteors observers.
