(meteorobs) July 2 Observations

-- [ From: Robert Lunsford * EMC.Ver #2.5.3 ] --

I watched for slightly less than 4 hours this morning with George Zay.
My counts were down from yesterday while his counts were up resulting in
both of us recording 41 meteors. The Sagittarids were less active this
morning and only 3 meteors lined up with the suspected radiant near Zeta
Pegasi. I suffered a significant dip in activity during my third hour
which should also be evident in George's rates. George had a very active
last hour while I only had a modest recovery. The highlight of the
session was a slow yellow -1 sporadic shooting down toward the northern
horizon.

The first column is the period watched in Universal Time (PDT+7 hours).
The second column is the percent of an hour actually spent watching the
sky. Time is lost for breaks, plotting, and data entry. The third column
is the average limiting magnitude during this period with a minimum of 4
estimates per period. The last columns list the activity seen during
each period.

I was facing east at an altitude of 70 degrees. No breaks were taken
during this session. SAG = SAGITTARIDS, TAQ = TAU AQUARIDS (DMS), and
SPO = SPORADIC (random activity)
