Yup, John, I think you've got the hang of it! (I get RA 17 DE +61 as being just 
over a degree East of gamma Cas, the middlemost star of the "W".)

But to save you some work for future meteor watches, check out the IMO Web 
site, and especially their concise "Meteor Calendar" at:
        http://www.imodot net/calendar/cal98.html

At the bottom of that calendar is a neat table showing all the active showers 
for any time of this year, and what their radiant positions are. Here's an 
excerpt from that table for the next month or so:
