Bill, it sounds to me like you are DEFINITELY now ready to start reading the 
"NAMN Meteor Observing Guide"! :)

Do you have a copy of that document yet? If not, contact Mark Davis right away 
and get yourself one! It's free, it's great reading, and afterward you'll have 
an EXCELLENT idea of what you need to do to start getting your meteor data 
published (with the rest of ours) in the meteor journals!
