I'm from Ottawa, ON so not too far from your location.
I observed last night (16/17) from about 23:00 to 2:00 edt.  
I faced south and my sky was clear with some thin haze, reducing
my limiting magnitude to about 5.6. I did not decode the tape just
yet so I dont have any exact information. I do not recall any real
significant bright meteor. Things actually appeared quite slow...

Do you remember the more exact time you saw it??
