Hi Kenya,

After over 10 years of trying, I have never been able to convince anyone to
go observe with me on a regular basis. I think this is a result of the early
morning observing periods, as I have had success in getting folks out for
evening telescopic observing.

Concerning danger from wildlife, I contend with snakes, bears, alligators,
and reportedly, panthers. But none of them cause me concern with the
exception of snakes. I observe near swamps and we have many, many
cottonmouths, which never have a good disposition, especially at 4 am! ;)
To stay away from them, I observe out of the bed of my truck. The animals I
fear are the two-legged variety, and this is where it becomes hard to advise
you what to do. Personally, I would recommend you observe with someone else.
