(meteorobs) August 16/17 1998 observation
Hello,
Here are observations for my 4 nights out during late August.
The first one here is August 16/17. I observed 3 hours (2.99 teff)
from the good old Airport location. My limiting magnitude averaged
at 5.68. I watched for Kappa Cygnids but I saw only one. 2 other
meteors aligned with the KCG radiant but they were of medium speed and
more likely sporadics. The Perseids were active with 6 meteors. North
delta Aquarids produced one during my second hour. The NDA could be
a possible NIA since both radiants were so close. Both are
distinguishable only by velocity; NDA = 42k/s, NIA = 31k/s.
Brightest were 2 sporadics of magnitude 0, one of them leaving a
wake. Total of 20 meteors for this night.
