I'd be interested if anyone finds a July issue of WGN since they are usually
printed for February, April, June, August, October and December.  :o)

In my experience, It seems that dark meteors are essentially flying critters
such as bats, birds, bugs etc.  If not an actual critter, they also seem to
crop up when I use to observe for 10 or 11 hour nites in the winter...in other
words, during fatigue. since I started taking 2 to 5 hour naps at the
observatory until about 10 or 11 pm, I seldom if ever see any of those things
anymore.
