Hi, Randy! First off, I'd go out with the "Eclipse Chaser's Motto"
firmly fixed in your mind. Namely, "Go out just to go out; don't
go out expecting to see anything". :)
In other words, the Draconids appear to have had a small or medium
sized outburst this morning, and it now appears to be well over...
So take your son out to enjoy the evening's lovely stars and night
sounds, and just watch the moon rise. And while you're out there,
you MAY just happen to see some Draconid meteors.
