1998 indeed seems to become the Asian year! First we have the
June-Bootids, which peaked over Japan. Now we have the Draconid outburst,
which again was witnessed by Japanese observers. Last but not least - the
Leonids are presumed to peak over Asia, too. 
I hope that this time the maximum does not shift again! Imagine: Waiting
at -20 deg C somewhere in Mongolia and the celestial fireworks happens to
be at home over Europe... :-O
