Hi all,
	The Nov 98 Scientific American has two articles of interest.

	"The Day the Sands Caught Fire", by Jeffrey C Wynn and Eugene M. 
Shoemaker
	This concerns a bolide which struck thin Southern Saudi Arabia, 
possibly in the late 1800's. Very interesting reading!!

	and

	"The Search for Greenland's Mysterious Meteor"  by W. Wayt Gibbs
	An account of the (so far) unsuccessful search for the Dec 9 Fireball. 
I didn't care much for the article, but it IS required reading :->
