(meteorobs) Experiment: Length vs. Distance From Radiant

In addition to my normal data last night I recorded (or tried to
remember to record) the distance each shower meteor appeared from their
respective radiant. Using the IMO's suggestion the endpoint of each
shower member was recorded.

These are the results for the Orionids and Southern Taurids:

ORIONIDS:

Radiant Distance 10 Degrees Average Meteor Length 3.0 Degrees

   " " 20 " " " " 4.0 "

   " " 30 " " " " 4.8 "

   " " 40 " " " " 7.9 "

   " " 50 " " " " 10.6 "

   " " 60 " " " " 7.7 "

   " " 70 " " " " 13.3 "

   " " 80 " " " " 10.0 "

NOTE: For distances 60 degrees out and greater only 7 shower members
were available.

SOUTHERN TAURIDS:

Radiant Distance 10 Degrees Average Meteor Length 1.5 Degrees

   " " 20 " " " " 4.0 "

   " " 30 " " " " 4.2 "

   " " 40 " " " " No Data Available

   " " 50 " " " " 10.0 "

   " " 60 " " " " 10.0 "

   " " 70 " " " " 30.0 "

With two more sessions planned I will update these tables as the data is
available.

Any Comments?
