(meteorobs) Bright Orionid
A -4.0 Orionid was recorded with a Sandia
all-sky camera at my observatory in Courtenay, B.C., 20 October at 11:19:30 UT,
(04:19:31 am PDT). It was in my northwest quadrant near the horizon
heading down. This was the only meteor bright enough to be recorded with
the Sandia camera on 19/20 October. An aurora was present in the
north-east near the horizon. This faded in and out throughout the
night.
