Hi Chris,

Unfortunately for us in N. America, the "best" time to view the Leonids does
not occur, as it is predicted to peak over Asian longitudes. So unless you
are very mobile and ready for travel, you will need to contend with our
conditions. The radiant of the Leonids will rise a little before midnight. I
suggest taking a nap in the evening followed by being at your site ready to
observe sometime around 11 pm local time. Continue observing till dawn if
your schedule allows. Weather permitting, I hope to observe all night on the
16th, 17th, and 18th.
