I presume that you guys thinking of daylight meteor photography during the
Leonids intend to do some practice exposures to see how things work? I
would think that high-flying planes without contrails and not providing a
full glint of sunlight reflection might give you some feel for exposure
times although the reflected light would be white and not necessarily very
representative of a fireball. Still, it might be better practice than nothing.

Also, how about relatively-weak daytime Iridium flares?

How would you precisely locate daytime fireballs (or would that even be of
any interest since the probability of a daytime fireball at that time being
from anything *other* than the Leonids is effectively zilch)?
