(meteorobs) Leonid activity started
IMO Shower Circular -- Leonids start their activity:

Enhanced activity from the Leonid meteor shower was
observed by George Zay from California on Nov 16
~0800-1300 UT with numerous fireballs -- 25 in 7.5 hours.
A first report from Mongolia, dated Nov 16, 2000 UT,
indicates ZHR~70, numerous fireballs with brightnesses
-8 to -16. All observers are urgently called to use every
opportunity to watch the event, EVEN IN THE UPCOMING
NIGHT. The activity seems to exceed all expectations!
Note: Because of extremely heavy traffic on the IMO website,
