(meteorobs) Rotating earth?

Dear All,

We have a given meteor. How does it burn up in the atmosphere? Is it a
moveless grain of dirt, which burns in the atmosphere and the rotating
earth and atmosphere make a strike for the meteorire, or is the
meteorite moving and creating the strike?

I bet that the meteor's moving creates the strike, since Earth's
rotation is too slow for such a quick strike. But who knows?

Thanks, Asaf.
