(meteorobs) Meteor Calendar 1908

Actually the meteor calendar for 1908 would look pretty much as it does
today with the dates of maximum activity being a day or two different.
There was no knowledge of daylight streams back in 1908 so the possible
association of the Tunguska event and the Beta Taurid stream would have
to wait until 40 years later.

The Andromedids were a major shower during the last portion of the 19th
century but displays this century have been poor. Still, it was included
in the lists of major showers for at least another 50 years after 1908.
The only other noticeable difference is the strength of the Geminid
display. It was considerably weaker at the beginning of the 20th
century.

Off the top of my head the calendar of major showers for 1908 would look
something like this:

Jan 2 Quadrantids ZHR 50
Apr 20 Lyrids ZHR 15
May 2 Eta Aquarids ZHR 15
July 27 South Delta Aquarids ZHR 10
Aug 10 Perseids ZHR 50
Oct 20 Orionids ZHR 20
Nov 15 Leonids ZHR 10
Nov 27 Andromedids ZHR 5
Dec 12 Geminids ZHR 20
Dec 21 Ursids ZHR 5
