(meteorobs) Interesting Article for Meteor Observers

Howdy, all.
Hope this comes through OK, since I am on a new e-mail system

In any case, if all went well, there should be a link here to an article in
Science News which states that Cones (brighter, fine detail, color part of
visual system) and Rods (used in dim light...most meteor observing except
fireballs) perceive motion at different speeds. This would imply that a
meteor moving at a fixed speed, will be perceived as moving at two different
speeds depending on how bright it is! Brighter is faster. How's that for
adding another level of complexity!
