That's low. It hasn't been much better down south. I have been plotting
Virginids when the weather allowed. February was a wash out, but a few
nights in March, and April seems to be improving as winter approaches,
though summer does not want to let go. We have had temperatures up to 36
deg C for much of April in parts of the country.
Following is a summary of the Virginids so far, the full final report and
plots will go to Bob. Generally rates are much below last year; the nights
of April 7/8 and 8/9 were especially slow.
Date UT Teff LM VIR ACO DLE GSE SPO TOT
March 8/9 1930-2030 1.0 5.8 1 0 0 0 1 2
March 10/11 2010-2130 1.5 5.9 1 0 0 0 10 11

April 6/7 1743-1946 2.0 5.5 2 0 1 0 3 6
April 7/8 1730-1950 2.3 5.7 1 0 0 0 2 3

April 16/17 2015-2150 1.5 5.3 2 2 0 0 2 6
The codes are VIR=Virginids, ACO=alpha Corvids, DLE=delta Leonids, GSE=gamma
Sextantids.
Weather looks promising for tonight again
Regards to you all
Tim
