Re: (meteorobs) telescopes
This Is For Melanie in Colorado and anyone else this may interest.
Here is some more info for anyone interested in astronomy, and can get to
Big Bear, Ca. this coming Memorial Day Weekend to Camp Oaks, YMCA Summer Camp.
The Annual R.M.T.C (Riverside Telescope Makers Conference) will be there with
over 2000 Astronomers of all ages, and levels, from all over the world, and
hundreds of related vendors. The main viewing area is a collection of
normally over 600 custom made telescopes, and grand binoculars of all sizes,
and awards are given to the builders. There's even a telescope swapmeet. It
is an incredible event, and a chance to meet and rub elbows with Famous
Astronomers. I am going back this year.
It is a great place to find out how to get startad as a newcomer to the field.
