RE: (meteorobs) "Mr. Denning"



George,
Denning was an extremely active and pioneering British meteor observer in
the early decades of this century. He also discovered a few comets. To be
honest, I've probably not read much about Denning, or his works for over a
decade, so my memory is a bit hazy.  I remember that there has been much
debate about Denning's minor radiants and it is probably fair to say that
many of these were not real.  Denning was also a proponent of stationary
radiants that lasted several months.  I think this battle was lost many
years ago.  I'm sure the BAA or IMO will have a biography published in
their journals.
