(meteorobs) Mr. Denning

Just last month we had some information about Mr. Denning, he
had observed 635 telescopic meteors during 727 hours of sweeping for
comets, of which he found five comets in thirteen years with his 10.25
inch Browning reflector telescope. My source, "The Amateur Astronomers
Handbook," by James Muirden, said the Gold Medal given to him by the
Royal Astronomy Society was for his work on Jupiter, didn't say
anything about his radiant work. "He was considered one of the
greatest planetary observers of resent times."
Denning averaged about 36 hours a month of clear sky observing,
he didn't bother when the moon was up for meteor (and comet work too)
observing.
The thread that brought up Mr. Denning last month also inclued
some interesting data on telescopic meteors and his arch rival, Dr.
C.P. Olivier, well worth checking again under the various headings
starting on 8 April when I asked about telescopic meteors that
included about twenty responces under various headings such as:

                Some Unusual Obs 8 Apr.
                Dr. C.P. Olivier 9 Apr.
                Ams Archives 10 Apr.
