Re: (meteorobs) IMO WGN Question



There was an article in the latest journal I received that asked what
the large sideband signature was that was seen while looking for
meteors by HF radio.
     It was a large coherent bow shock wave either approaching or departing
the hop structure, depends upon the polarity of the electronics you have.
Since there are probably no launches between the transmitter
and the receiver there must have been great circle around the
globe transmission at the time.   There are several launch areas
on the greater great circle from Port. to Brazil.
     The British have an unofficial tracking group that might be able to
tell you something given the date and time...
