Subject: (meteorobs) What radio / reciever?
Dear meteorobservers:
I am planning to start observing meteors by forward scatter tecnique and
hope to have my equipment "up and go" in due time before the Leonids in
November. I have read a lot about the topic, but two questions are still
unanswered:
What kind of radio / reciever will You recomend?? I'm a novice both on
radio and radiotecnique?
Do You know of any dealer, preferable in Europe, (but any adress is
better than
none)?
Sincerely Egil Enaasen, Norway
Egil, I suggest you contact your fellow countryman Jan-Martin LA8AK
("J M Noeding" <la8ak@online.no>). He is a very experienced radio ham
who is well known for his contributions to meteor scatter amongst other
things. I am sure he will be willing to help you, and he can probably
tell you where best to buy things in your country.
Good Luck,
Geoff Grayer G3NAQ
