(meteorobs) Observation May 12/13 1999

Hi everyone,

The weather in Ottawa has been generally much dryer than usual, with many
clear nights last month. With a rather busy schedule, I got in two nights
of meteor observing in May. For the first night on May 12/13, I observed
just south of the Ottawa Airport. It was the first time I went to that site
for this year. I went there early to meet several observers with
telescopes. When most of them left around midnight, I set up for about an
hour of meteor watching. I did not plot that night (having left all my
charts at home...oops!) Skies were clear with limiting magnitude 5.9, and
comfortable conditions. It was a rather dull hour under "greyish" skies
with only 6 sporadics coming in. Nothing more, and none got brighter than
magn +2.
