(meteorobs) Reporting Public Fireball Sightings

Dave, others who read 'meteorobs' from that area of the US will hopefully be
able to respond to your request for additional sightings. I'm just writing to
suggest that, for this and all similar fireball reports from the public, folks
always try to get the witness to fill out a fireball report with one of the
meteor groups. There are forms available on the Web - either to be filled out
on-screen, or printed out and forwarded to the appropriate address.

By submitting reports to these groups - who in turn forward them to a central
world repository known as the IMO Fireball Data Center - you ensure that the
maximum scientific value is derived from the sighting. What's more, by tracking
their own sighting with the local meteor group, the witness is far more likely
to hear of any other sightings for the same event...
