(meteorobs) Virus Alert

I just recieved first word about a particularly insipid e-mail
virus that is currently making the rounds -- it has forced Microsoft and
a couple of airlines to shut down their corporate e-mail services...
I don't know the details except that the virus comes attached to
an e-mail document and can wipe out many and various documents on one's
hard-drive -- apparently much more damaging than the happy99 virus...
Of course, if one continues to follow two basic rules of (1) not
opening e-mail from unknown sources and (2) not opening any unknown
e-mail attachments, one should remain safe...
I'm sure someone else on the list who is more electronically
connected than I am can give us more details....I just heard quick radio
report...

Outbursts, Kim Youmans
