(meteorobs) Pre-Dawn Obs 06-12/13-99
I was out Sunday morning for about 2 hrs of Teff and enjoyed the
clearest skies I've seen in some time. I didn't look up my star count
until I got home, when I was a bit shocked to learn I'd been gazing up
at the Draco region with a 6.63 LM! This count persisted into the
second hour of Teff. I couldn't tease out as many stars in Cygnus,
however... I did notice an increase in the number of faint, indistinct
but localized "flashes."
Meteor #2, which was plotted, was a medium fast mag 2 of about 6-
7degrees arc length just a degree left of Deneb, lining up with Vega.
It was the only activity spotted originating from the Draco/Lyra region
during the session. Cygnus was near my FOV.
