(meteorobs) Fireball or re-entry
I was flipping throught FIDAC e-mail reports when I found this:
1996 Feb 24 11 25 UT
Solar longitude J2000: 335.209deg
Magnitude: -2 Zenithal magnitude: -6
Location: Palomar Observatory, CA (USA)
( 116deg 51'48'' W, 33deg 21'24'' N)
First sighting: alpha=151deg, delta=-33deg
End sighting: alpha=208deg, delta=-42deg
Duration: 20 seconds
Color: ye, rd
Trail: rd flare
Persistent train: -
Fragmentation: -
Velocity: 2deg/sec
Sound: none
Could this be a re-entry? Do the folx at FIDAC check the reports before getting them online?
