Re: (meteorobs) Frustrating night at NJAA-JPE's

Wayne, I did both better and worse. :) I observed from pink-sky Medford
(i.e., my backyard) last night, but thanks to a quirk of cold-air masses,
skies were crystalline black! I also haven't produced my report yet (in
expectation of getting to a darker site for more observing tonight!), but
suspect my average LM was on the order of 5.8 - not bad for pink skies!

Unfortunately, despite the excellent (suburban) conditions, I only logged
seven meteors, and only two JPEs, during approximately 1.1 hours Teff! I was
out plotting from 12:30 to 2:10, and so covered your behazed period. I
wonder why I didn't catch any of the activity your casuals suggested??

Obviously, the JPEs have some surprises in store for all of us - and maybe
they'll reveal a few of those secrets during tonight's continued activity!
But naturally, you'll share in those secrets ONLY if you're watching. :)

For those who know plotting, I strongly recommend getting out for tonight:
for those not comfortable with meteor plotting yet, but who have access to
the IMO charts, what better chance to start plotting than tonight?

Clear skies and good luck everyone!
